kamalanathanHyderabad: The Telangana State government’s plans to go for job recruitment on a big scale have been severely hit by fresh extension given to Kamalanathan panel.

The Centre’s decision means Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) will have to wait for at least five months more - until March end- before issuing new notifications for Group-1 and Group-2 posts, among others.

Kamalanathan panel getting extension until March 31 also has dented plans of large number of unemployed youth in Telangana State, who are already into examination preparation mode for the last several months.

They have pinned all hopes on Kamalanathan panel completing its formalities by October 31 after which a clear picture of vacancies in all departments would have come out.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao reiterated this fact at several forums when questioned over the growing restlessness among unemployed youth over government’s delay in issuing job notifications.

Once Kamalanathan committee finished its job, government would launch a big recruitment drive, he reiterated on many occasions.

However, things have changed now with this unexpected decision that sent shockwaves through the unemployed youths. The Telangana State government employees are gearing up for a big protest on what they called a conspiracy of Centre and Andhra Pradesh to affect progress of the youngest state of the nation.

Division of employees between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states was yet to begin in key departments like Police, Revenue, Medical and Health, Women and Child Welfare.

Meanwhile, TNGOs’ Honorary President G Deviprasad stated that a massive dharna would be held on November 6 resenting against the callous attitude of Kamalanathan panel as well as the Centre. Government employees across all categories would participate in the protest he said.

Meanwhile, TSPSC sources stated that Centre’s decision was a big blow to their plans. The TSPSC hinted about issuing of notification for Group-1 and Group-2 posts in December, but it looks unlikely now. Commission cannot go ahead with recruitment until clarity.

Meanwhile, faulting the Centre for extension given to Kamalanathan planel, OU JAC chairman Manavata Rai urged TRS government to give clarity on vacancies in 10 districts,

which would not be dealt with by the Kamalanathan panel. The government should fill executive and non-executive posts in districts instead of waiting for Centre appointed committee to complete the formalities.
