Mahabubnagar: Congress MLA and former Minister D K Aruna here on Friday declared that she would be compelled to wage a “war” if the TRS government failed to carve out Gadwal a separate district in deference to the wishes of the people.
The former Minister performed a special puja at Beechupalli Anjaneya Swamy temple and prayed Lord Hanuman to help fulfil the wishes of the people for Gadwal. Speaking to media persons later, Aruna said the Gadwal Assembly constituency in the heart of the district has all the basic facilities like educational institutions, medical and health, and transport services, etc.
She demanded that the State government include Gadwal in the list of the proposed new districts. If the government failed to do so for political reasons. District MLAs Chittem Rammohan Reddy and Sampath Kumar were also present.
