Hyderabad: To educate women and men about the breast cancer risk factors and to make them aware of the benefits of early and timely intervention, Breast Cancer Awareness Cyclothon was organised by Continental Hospitals here on Saturday. On the occasion, Consultant Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon Dr Praveen K Dadireddy spoke about the prevailing risk factors, preventive measures, early screening, and detection and treatment options available at Continental Cancer Centre.
He said they had treated breast cancer cases diligently during normal screening tests. Likewise early detection methods were very important to fight against cancer and make the treatment successful, he said. Cine actress Kalpika has flagged off the Cyclothon comprising more than 300 people from different walks of life. The event was organised in association with Golfedge and All India IT Employees Welfare Association.
