Motkupalli Narasimhulu Hyderabad: Senior TDP leader and politburo member Motkupalli Narasimhulu announced that he would launch a padayatra on November 27, from Alair, demanding the State government to make Yadadri (Yadagirigutta) as a new district. Speaking to the media at NTR Trust Bhavan on Monday, Narasimhulu said Yadadri should be made as a new district instead of merging it with the proposed Siddipet district.

Appreciating the measures being taken by the TRS government towards the development of Yadadri, Motkupalli said people of Alair were dejected over reports that Yadadri would be merged with the Siddipet district. “All political parties are against the proposed move of the State government, and they will oppose any move to merge the temple town with Siddipet district,” he said.

In protest against the proposed move of TRS government, all schools and colleges would observe bandh on November 26, the TDP leader said. He also added that in support of the demand he would launch a day-long hunger strike on December 1. Telangana TDP Mahila president Bandru Shobharani, Nalgonda general secretary Yellaiah Yadav and others were also present at the meeting.
