Obviously elated over the thumping victory of the TRS in the Warangal Lok Sabha byelection, Minister for Panchayat Raj K Taraka Rama Rao has said “the people of Warangal have endorsed the performance of the government in the State.”

Speaking to media persons, KTR said it was not proper for the Opposition parties to level baseless allegations against the government just for the sake of criticism, leaving political ethics to the wind. The KCR government was implementing unique schemes for the welfare of the poor and downtrodden.
The governments in other states hailed the schemes which were being implemented in Telangana State, he said. KTR said despite a systematic vilification campaign carried by the Opposition parties and a section of the media against the government, the matured electorate of Warangal had delivered a verdict endorsing the TRS government’s performance.
Advising the hostile Opposition parties to stop witch-hunting the ruling party, KTR said the TRS government would promote monumental efforts to develop the State in the coming five years with people’s blessings. He also advised a section of hostile media to restrain from spitting venom and act as a constructive Opposition by highlighting people’s problems.
The Warangal byelection turned into a tsunami and swept away the Opposition parties, he quipped. Responding to a question, the Minister exuded confidence that his party would repeat the show in the ensuing GHMC elections.
