Farmers demand `15 lakh compensation

Dharmaram (Karimnagar): Farmers of Nandimedaram and Chavamanapalli villages appealed to Peddapalli RDO Narayana Reddy to pay compensation of Rs 15 lakh per acre for the lands which would be submerged under Pranahita-Chevella project works.
It is estimated that 613 acres in both villages would be submerged under the project. The RDO who visited the villages on Saturday told the farmers to attend the meeting to be held at the Collectorate on November 30 to discuss the compensation.
