Hyderabad: The participants of 34th batch of Vaktha expressed their confidence in influencing the society with the skills they acquired during the two-day training session jointly organised by HMTV and Kausalya School of Life Skills in Jubilee Hills on November 29.
Director (Training) of Kapil Group and lead faculty of the programme D Bal Reddy said it was an art to engage and entertain the public during the speech by an individual. He explained various techniques on public speaking and asked the participants of the programme to regularly practice the tips to bring a change in the society.
“People ignore to hone their skills, but there are occasions in their lives which compel them to speak out. Therefore, to face such situations in their lives, everyone should be prepared to obviate the possibility of failure,” he pointed out. Bal Reddy said the role of a speaker was not only to deliver speech for longer time but also to educate the audience with valuable information. He said one should be ready to bare the pain and should not hesitate to ask and learn to improve and sharpen themselves in the subject.
S Anand Parjanya, faculty on body language, trained the participants on maintaining their postures while delivering the speech and also the gestures while communicating at a public place. He explained about voice modulation during the speech and also techniques to make the audience comfortable to put out their opinions.
Expressing satisfaction about the programme, Dr A Bhagavan, assistant professor at Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad, said he had been a good listener in his life which helped him to reach his goals but the training on public speaking built confidence in him to be a speaker and share his opinions and knowledge with others.
