While Minister KTR was also served notice for admitting several MPTCs and ZPTCs from Mahbubnagar and Ranga Reddy into the party fold in the Secretariat.

The EC asked both of them to give explanation with 48 hours from the time they had received the notice. The notices were served to KCR and KTR on Wednesday, however, came to light on Thursday. After the EC had announced the schedule of election on November 24, the Model Code of Conduct came into force in all nine districts of Telangana, excluding Hyderabad.
