Hyderabad: Telangana unit of Communist Party of India gave a call to the party rank and file to unite all secular, democratic and anti-neo-liberal forces to pave way for the solution of the problems in the nation with clear perspective on economic and political policies.

Addressing the party leaders and workers at the 90th anniversary celebrations held here on Saturday, CPI General Secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy said if party re-dedicates itself to the service of the downtrodden sections of India and takes the oath to carry forward class battles with more determination, then it has a bright future.

Sudhakar Reddy said CPI was proud of its struggles and sacrifices. “Let us salute all those tens and thousands of martyrs who laid down their lives and lakhs of cadres who made this movement a beloved party of downtrodden sections of our country, Red salute to all of them!,” he added.

Several cultural activities were conducted by the Praja Natya Mandali at Makhdoom Bhavan in Hyderabad. The celebrations began with the flag hoisting by Sudhakar Reddy. Later, the party leaders including State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy took out a rally from Makhdoom Bhavan, Himayatnagar to Shalimar Function Hall and Ramkote as part of celebration.
