Khammam: Communist party of India (CPM-Marxist) state secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram alleged that the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) was showing much interest on votes, seats and making leaders of other parties to join their party and neglecting public issues. A district-level meeting with the party leaders and activists was held at Sundaraiah Bhavan here on Saturday.

Addressing the meeting, Veerabhadram criticised that the TRS government and Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nagehswar Rao had failed to include Khammam district in the drought-hit list, even though 30 mandals in the district have suffered severe drought conditions. They were not interested in solving the public issues instead they were busy in joining the other party leaders into their party, he alleged. He said as the Central government announced to help the drought-hit mandals, the TRS government, at least now, should take initiation to include Khammam district under drought-hit.
