Dont fall prey to TRS blackmail tactics: Naidu
TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu asked his party leaders not to fall prey to the blackmail tactics and intimidations resorted to by TRS against his party cadre in the GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) election scheduled to be held on Tuesday ( February 2).

The party chief held teleconference with his party men on the last day of poll campaign and enquired about the winning prospects of the TDP- BJP combine in the civic body elections. Several leaders brought to the notice of Naidu that they were threatened by the ruling TRS leaders during the election campaign. In some cases, they were also prevented from meeting people in some colonies.
In a quick response, the TDP Chief said he will stand by all the cadre and will come to the rescue of everyone. The party will not tolerate such intimidations and will take legal recourse, he told the leaders. Naidu advised his party personnel to remain more vigilant on the day of polling and spare no efforts day and night with a goal of clinching victory in the GHMC election.
He also advised them to be with the friendly party BJP ignoring petty differences, if any, for achieving their goal. Participating in another programme, the TDP President said his Telangana counterpart K Chandrashekar Rao has been speaking “utter lies” lowering dignity of his office and age.
Reacting to KCR’s “outbursts” at his public meeting at Secunderabad Parade Grounds on Saturday, Naidu said the Telangana Chief Minister’s provocative utterances against him and his family members were proof of his (KCR’s) intolerance towards the opposition parties and it will boomerang on him only.
“ KCR also fabricated a story alleging that my wife (Bhuvaneshwawri) promised to vote for his TRS party. KCR was talking like a maniac out of frustration as the TDP was very strong in Greater Hyderabad,” he observed.
