Nizamabad: District Collector Yogita Rana directed the officials to thoroughly scrutinise the application forms of all the applicants for the double bedroom houses and select the beneficiaries from the eligible persons.
Conducting a review meeting on double bedroom houses with Tahsildars and Housing Corporation officials at the Collectorate in the town on Wednesday, the District Collector said that till now, nearly 84,000 applications were received for the double bedroom houses in the district and among these, many ineligible persons also applied.
To identify and weed out the ineligible persons, the officials should computerise all the applications and prepare the list of eligible persons according to the rules. Yogita Rana advised the officials to prepare the list of beneficiaries from the categories of scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, backward classes and minority community and identify the poorer sections of the society in these lists.
She said that officials should prepare lists according to norms, rules and regulations fixed by the government. Joint Collector Ravinder Reddy, Housing Corporation Project Director Chaitanya Kumar, the Revenue Divisional Officers of Bodhan, Nizamabad and Kamareddy, Shyamprasad Lal, Yadireddi and Nagesh, Tahsildars and Housing Department officials were present.
