CPI (M) leaders burn BJP, RSS effigies

Kamareddy (Nizamabad): Protesting against the communalising of Universities in the country by the BJP and the RSS, the CPI (M) leaders sat on a dharna in the town on Monday and also burned down the effigies of BJP and RSS at the NIzamsagar junction. Addressing the gathering, CPI(M) leader Chandrasekhar accused the BJP and the RSS of fomenting trouble in the Jwaharlala Nehru University in New Delhi and the University of Hyderabad.

The BJP was trying to suppress the dalit students in the Universities thereby, vitiating the academic atmosphere in the institutes of higher learning, he lamented. The CPI (M) leader alleged that the BJP-led NDA government was trying to create communal unrest in the country and saffronising the educational system. CPI (M) leaders Rajalingam, Ravinder and Prasad were present.
