With Saturday being the last day of the jatara as the deities are scheduled to reenter the forest, devotees in large numbers descended on Medaram. According to official estimates, at least 1.40 crore devotees have made offerings to deities since the jatara started on Wednesday.
The other prominent who offered prayers here are Warangal Range DIG Malla Reddy, Khairatabad MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, former BJP MLA M Dharma Rao and senior TDP leader Vem Narender Reddy.
