Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Monday met with Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti in New Delhi where he made a request to speed up the process of granting the permission for new irrigation projects.
Harish Rao also requested Uma Bharti to grant national status to Kaleshwaram project. Stating that only one project was included from Telangana under Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme (AIBP), Harish Rao requested her to include more irrigation projects from the state.
