Chinnamulkanoor (Karimnagar): Telugu Desam Party working president A Revanth Reddy threatened to stall the proceedings of the Assembly if the State government failed to start the construction of double bedroom houses and other developmental works in Chinnamulkanoor village, adopted by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

The TDP along with other opposition parties including Congress, BJP, CPI and CPM would grill the government in the house, he informed and appealed the people’s representatives of different political parties to visit the village to know the troubles being faced by the local people.

Revanth Reddy along with party senior leader E Peddi Reddy, district president Ch Vijayaramana Rao and other leaders visited Chinnamulkanoor of Chigurumamdi mandal on Monday and interacted with the people, who have been staying in tiny temporary sheds for the past seven months by demolishing their permanent houses.

With the CM’s assurance to start the construction of double bedroom houses immediately, about 290 people demolished their houses in last June. To know the plights of the villagers, Telugu Desam team toured the village. Later speaking to reporters, Revanth Reddy said in fact they felt happy when KCR promised to develop Chinnamulkanoor as a model village, but there was no progress in works even after seven months. Except model house, no work was started so far, he added.

He felt bad that the women were bathing in the open as they had also demolished bathrooms along with the house. Referring the comments of Chukkavva, at whose residence the CM performed puja for the development of the village, the TD leader said that people were angry against the government and KCR and unable to express their agony openly.

The government has decided to construct two lakh double bedroom houses including one lakh in Hyderabad, which require Rs 14 to Rs 15 crore, the TDP leader said and questioned as to how the State would complete such a big number of houses when it was not in a position to clear Rs 5 lakh bills of a model house constructed in Chinnamulkanoor.

Stating that the government has left with only 30 months in the governance, he wanted the government to tell the public that how it is going to complete the houses. Referring the CM’s comments that opposition parties should extend their support for good works done by the government, he said what kind of support the government needs from Telugu Desam.

He made it clear that his is ready to extend any kind of support to the government for the completion of all double bedroom houses in Chinnamulkanoor. Revanth Reddy informed that TD has decided to visit all villages and constituencies to observe the implementation of the promises made by KCR and expose the true colour of the government to the public.

Talking about Telangana Rashtra Samithi activists’ plans to obstruct TD leaders, he said it was not proper and TD was also ready to face the challenge if the TRS go ahead with such kind of activities.
