Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, in response to a request from Sohan Roy, Founder Director, Indywood Film Carnival, to be held in Hyderabad from September 24 to 27, agreed to be the chief patron of the event. Sohan Roy, who is also the chief of Dubai-based companies ARIES along with Satish Chandran, Marketing Director Epica brand and CEO Ramoji Film City Rajeev Jalana Purkar, called on the Chief Minister this evening at the camp office and made the request.

CMO Principal Secretary S Narsing Rao, Additional Principal Secretary Santi Kumari and Principal Secretary (Industries) Arvind Kumar were also present in the meeting. Indywood Film Carnival aims to promote Indian Cinema and tourism globally and thereby benefiting Indian Film Industry both financially and qualitatively and would be organised by All Lights Film Society and co hosted by Ramoji Film City.

Along with 3,000 delegates the festival is expected to attract more than 10,000 film personalities from more than 100 countries. Proposal to start manufacturing unit: ARIES group of companies also expressed its interest in launching world's first-of-its-kind glass free mobiles, Tablets and Televisions Unit in Telangana with a brand name of Epica with an initial investment of 125 million US Dollars.

They requested for approval and allotment of land for its first of its kind manufacturing unit. KCR told them to apply on line in accordance with the provisions of TS IPASS and within 15 days necessary approval will be given. The Chief Minister also provided them with a copy of Industrial Policy and told them that this was best one in the world. He also mentioned to them that since launching of policy in June 2015, as many as 82 industrial approvals were given and 13 of them are already into production.
