TRS deployed shadow teams to topple Opposition: Ponguleti
Spearheading the Congress campaign in the election to the Khammam Municipal Corporation (KMC), the Congress Deputy Floor Leader in the Council Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy stepped up attack against the TRS saying that ruling party is resorting to blatant misuse of power.

Addressing road shows in 18, 36, 25 and 35 Divisions here on Monday, he accused the TRS leaders of trying to lure the Opposition party candidates either by offering money or by threatening them of dire consequences to help the ruling party candidates.
“The TRS deployed shadow teams to know the movements and strategies of the Opposition leaders,” Reddy alleged, questioning the morals of the ruling party. He also questioned the inaction of the government agencies that were meant to protect the model code of conduct during elections.
The credit for transforming the municipality into Corporation goes to the Congress only, Reddy argued, listing out several developmental works in the city such as Rs 72-crore drinking water project to quench the thirst of the denizens. He called upon the Congress forces to work for the victory of the party in the civic body polls and gift it the AICC president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi.
Congress candidates V Narsimha Rao of 18th Division, N Deepak Chowdary of 36th Division, P Satyanarayana of 25th Division and Vanam Krishnaveni of 35th Division, TPCC official spokesperson Katla Ranga Rao, Youth Congress state secretary R Manohar Naidu, Sharath Prakash were among others present.
