Khammam: CPI (M) Telangana state secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram threatened the State government of launching people’s movement if the rulers failed to implement their poll promises. Addressing a party meeting here on Friday, he demanded the TRS government to focus on its promises like providing double bedroom houses to poor and three acre land to dalits.

Referring to the setback their party suffered in the recent Corporation elections, Tammineni said that victories and defeats are common in the electoral battles. “The TRS may have won recent elections, but it doesn’t mean that CPM’s popularity in the region hasn’t gone down,” he expressed confidence, stating that Communists always took victories and defeats on its stride equally.

He told the party men to gear up for an uncompromised fight against the government if it fails to address the problems faced by the people. Senior party leaders Nunna Nageswar Rao, Yerra Srikanth, Yerra Srinivas Rao, Corporator-elect Afroz Sameena, Y Vikram, Tumma Vishnuvardhan, Narra Ramesh, MA Jabbar, Meira Saheb and Naveen Reddy were present.
