As many as 46 first year medical students of Osmania Medical College were returning to Hyderabad after attending a sports meet at Amalapuram in East Godavari district. The bus met with the accident when the drunk driver hit a tree along the highway, resulting in the death of five persons including the driver and injuries to 17 students.
