As many as 10 invigilators were relieved from duties from the Telangana SSC public examination which began on Monday. These invigilators had been using mobile phones during the conduct of examination in Mahbubnagar district. Despite several warnings from the School Education Department not to carry mobile to the examination centre, the invigilators were found to be using mobiles.

Hyderabad: As many as 10 invigilators were relieved from duties from the Telangana SSC public examination which began on Monday. These invigilators had been using mobile phones during the conduct of examination in Mahbubnagar district. Despite several warnings from the School Education Department not to carry mobile to the examination centre, the invigilators were found to be using mobiles.

Besides, an invigilator in Nalgonda and Warangal districts each were also relieved due to their negligence in performing exam duties. A total of six malpractice cases including two each in Karimnagar and Hyderabad, one each in Mahbubnagar and Ranga Reddy district were booked. In Ranga Reddy district, one impersonation case was booked in Sister Nivedita High School Nagar and the candidate was handed over to the police, said the Directorate of Government Examinations.

As many as 5,56,757 students registered for the examination and 5,54,645 appeared at 2,427 examination centres across the state. A total of 880 centres were covered by the flying squads and district level observers.
