Handicraft expo kicks off
MP Gutta Sukender Reddy appealed the public to support handlooms and handicrafts, which were facing severe competition from machine-made products. He inaugurated Handloom and Handicraft Trade Fair at TTD Kalyana Mandapam here on Friday.
Nalgonda: MP Gutta Sukender Reddy appealed the public to support handlooms and handicrafts, which were facing severe competition from machine-made products. He inaugurated Handloom and Handicraft Trade Fair at TTD Kalyana Mandapam here on Friday.
He appreciated Kalamandir society members for organising exhibition and urged them to organise more such exhibitions across the district to restore the lost glory of handlooms and handicrafts and also to create business opportunities to handloom weavers and handicraft makers.
The MP urged the public to visit the fair and extend support to the traders. Society President Jella Satyanarayana and secretary Prasad informed that the fair would run for 12 days and requested the public to encourage the handloom weavers by purchasing handlooms and handicrafts.
