Hyderabad: TDP (Telangana unit) working president A Revanth Reddy on Friday alleged that Telangana Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary was partial towards the ruling TRS as the TDP’s request to make a PowerPoint presentation on irrigation was denied.

Addressing the press here, he said the Speaker permitted Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to make PowerPoint presentation on irrigation sector in the ongoing budget session without any hesitation. When his party sought permission, the Speaker avoided even to respond to the request.

“What promoted the Speaker to reject the plea made by the opposition which has also equal rights enjoyed by the ruling party in the Assembly,” he said. Revanth came down heavily on Chief Minister for ‘distorting’ facts with regard to irrigation in Telangana state. The T region has been given utmost priority in strengthening irrigation during the TDP regime in the erstwhile AP.

Many projects like Kalwakurthy, Bheema and Nettampadu in his home district Mahbubnagar were taken up by the then TDP government. But, the projects have been neglected by the Congress governments. Stating that Telugu Desam would go back to people and expose the TRS government’s failures in all aspects, he said his party would intensify fight against the government on people’s issues.
