Hyderabad: Congress MP V Hanumantha Rao on Saturday accused Governor E S L Narasimhan of ignoring the core issues concerning both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States. Speaking to media persons here, Hanumantha Rao said the Governor was busy performing poojas at various temples. “The Governor's frequent visits to temple are causing a lot of inconvenience to regular devotees.

Although both the States are reeling under drought, he has maintained a total silence on the issue,” he said. The MP wondered why Narasimhan had failed to question the two governments over the failure to take measures to tackle the drought and mitigate the sufferings of people.

The Congress leader also condemned the pundits for giving favourable predictions in Ugadi Panchangams. He said the pundits had predicted growth and prosperity for Telangana State in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Similarly, they had predicted good days for Opposition parties while reading Panchangam in the presence of Opposition leaders.

He said pundits should give true predictions without showing favour to anyone. He said that the pundits had miserable failed to predict drought during the last two years.
