Safety Review Committee inspects Nagarjunasagar dam

Nagarjuna Sagar (Nalgonda): The members of the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam Safety Review Committee visited the dam and its surroundings areas on Tuesday to acquaint themselves about the present safety arrangements and status of the dam.

The committee led by its chairman MS Reddy, members Pradhan Choudary, Sharma, Towlay and retired chief engineers Sharat Chandra Reddy and Chandramouli went around the dam and examined crust gates and the water level.

Later, they conducted a review meeting at Vijaya Vihar guest house with dam and security officials and inquired from them about the measures taken and suggestions to improve the safety and security at the dam.
