Khammam: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday clarified that Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav was given departments related to the people and it was not a 'jhalak' to him. As Talasani Srinivas Yadav was about to speak on power resolution, Chief Minister said, ''some people are thinking Talasani was given 'jhalak' but this is not true. Before changing portfolio, I talked to Srinivas Yadav,'' said the Chief Minister.

“Srinivas Yadav is a mass leader and he mingles with people and hence he was given a department related to people,” Rao said. He said that Commercial Taxes was related to getting targets done and now the Minister can serve people better. Chief Minister spoke on various issues of resolutions.

He asked the Parliamentary Party leader K Keshava Rao to exert pressure on the Centre to get additional funds for drought stating that the funds were not sufficient. MP A P Jitender Reddy said that the Chief Minister was concentrating on the State and after three years he would join Centre to serve the people of the country. However, a smiling KCR gestured in negative sense.

While Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna was speaking on Haritha Haram, KCR said, “In Canada there are 8,000 trees per individual and in Russia, there are 4,000 trees per individual but in India there are only 28 trees per person.” He called upon the people to actively take part in the tree plantation programme. SC Corporation chairman Pidamarthi Ravi referred Chief Minister's grandson as 'Chhota Bheem'.

He was speaking on superfine rice being supplied to hostel students. ''Hostel students are eating the same rice what the Chief Minister's grandson Chhota Bheem is eating,'' said Ravi. Lakshmi Srija, a seven-year-old girl, spoke on the political developments in KCR's life till Telangana was achieved. In his concluding remarks, KCR said that he would now concentrate on strengthening the party.

''Until now I was busy with government but now there is stability. I will now concentrate on strengthening party organisation,'' said KCR appealing the activists and leaders to donate funds for the party.
