Jail authorities help rehabilitate ex-convict
The officials at Cherlapally Central Prison on Friday extended financial aid to a released life convict to establish a tailoring shop at Kushaiguda, under Mahaparivartan program.
Hyderabad: The officials at Cherlapally Central Prison on Friday extended financial aid to a released life convict to establish a tailoring shop at Kushaiguda, under Mahaparivartan program.
S Krishnaiah was convicted for life. He was recently released for good conduct by the State government. During his term in jail, Krishnaiah was given training in tailoring and got expertise in stitching police uniform.
“Under Mahaparivartam programme, taken up by the Telangana State Prison Department, Krishnaiah was given aid to establish a tailoring shop under name “Telangana Police Tailors” at Kushaiguda.
He is an expert in stitching police uniforms,” said Cherlapally Central Prison Superintendent K Venkateshwar Reddy. The released prisoner would also be given aid by the banks, Jail Department and under government schemes from the district Collector.
