Warangal: The TRS leaders came down heavily on their one-time comrade in statehood movement and TJAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram for the latter’s reported caustic remarks made against the State government.

Health minister C Laxma Reddy, MLA D Vinay Bhaskar, mayor N Narender, TRS district president T Ravinder Rao and the party district in-charge, P Sudarshan Reddy have strongly condemned Telangana JAC chairman’s comments and said he has no business to censure the TRS government.

The Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was working hard to put the progress of the State on fast track, they said.
Minister Laxma Reddy, who was in the district on an official visit, spoke to press persons at the party district headquarters on Monday and cautioned Prof Kodandaram not to disparage the government again.

‘His comments are ridiculous and public are laughing at him,’ the minister said referring to the TJAC leaders’ remarks, wherein he reportedly told the TRS government to quit if it can’t address the issues of farmers.

The real character of Prof Kodandaram came to forth by his comments, he said while wondering why the TJAC leader was hitting at the government and for whose benefit. ‘The CM’s agenda is development of poor and downtrodden sections. Those who understood his vision are with TRS and the others are outside,’ Laxma Reddy said.

He listed out the welfare and developmental programmes introduced by the CM and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the CM’s of neighbouring states were appreciating the TRS government and want to emulate the government.
Initiatives like Kalyan Laxmi, Shadi Mubarak, fine rice to welfare hostel students, revised pensions, Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha have won accolades from all sections, he explained.

MLA Vinay Bhasker said it was Chandrashekar Rao, who made Kodandaram the chairman of the TJAC. The public have given the TRS a mandate for five years. Whether to step down or continue should be decided by the people but not the JAC, he stated.

During the past two years’ rule, the CM, KCR, has created wonders in terms of development and welfare, the MLA said while Sudarshan Reddy noted that the JAC never supported TRS in any election, the public trusted the party and voted it to power.

Kodandaram has no right to tell to step down as neither the government nor the CM Chandrashekar Rao, was in the power with his support, Sudarshan Reddy asserted.

Mayor Narender and Ravinder Rao accused the JAC chairman of spreading lies and vicious campaign against the
government.
