US varsity students visit St Peter’s Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Warangal: Three students from Findlay University, USA, have visited the town-based St Peter’s Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPIPS) as part of student exchange programme.

The Pharm. D students Chelsea Mooney, Melanic Lowers and Mariyem Naboulsi, along with Prof M Chandra Shekhar of the university have arrived here on a weeklong visit. They went on rounds at Rohini Hospital along with Dr Om Prakash of Rohini.

A ceremony was organised at the college, welcoming the students. Speaking on the occasion, the students expressed pleasure for being able to learn many things which were different from their country.

Dr Chandra Shekhar said it was great opportunity to visit Warangal.Student interaction sessions, hospital sessions, patient counselling sessions, case presentations, and a tour of Warangal city were part of the programme. The main objective of the programme was to exchange knowledge related to pharmacy field in the US and India.

The SPIPS chairman T Jayapal Reddy and its principal Dr Suresh Bandari informed that a group of students from the college were going to visit Findlay University by September end to carry out their internship under the student exchange programme.

Rohini Hospitals chairman Dr Butchi Reddy and chief superintendent Dr Sudhakar Reddy explained the students about the professional practices being followed at the hospital. Dr Mamatha, Dr Rajeshri and others were present.
