ORR soon to have Traffic Management system

Highway Traffic Management System (HTMS), a new kind of technological equipment, would soon be installed along the Nehru Outer Ring Road (ORR) to monitor traffic flow and also to attend to emergencies.
Hyderabad: Highway Traffic Management System (HTMS), a new kind of technological equipment, would soon be installed along the Nehru Outer Ring Road (ORR) to monitor traffic flow and also to attend to emergencies.
The new system comprises CCTV surveillance system, emergency call boxes in 388 different locations, vehicle detector system and variable message sign system.
The system also takes care of the meteorological conditions over the ORR stretch and coordinates with the general users with their special set-up of HTMS Traffic Control Centre.
