Hyderabad: The Telangana Government is in favour of maintaining friendly relationship with the Centre for its rapid growth and development and do not want any confrontation, according to IT and Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao.

In the wake of Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya’s comments on the failure of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government in spending Central funds on drought and delay in Metro Rail works, Rama Rao called on the former and sought his help for the speedy disposal of the developmental programmes and help make Hyderabad an IT Hub.

The duo reviewed the IT and Municipal Administration departments’ progress and vowed to work together for transforming the city into a global destination. Metro works were on fast pace and the project would be completed soon, Rama Rao said. Stating that criticism at political platforms was common among the parties, Rama Rao said the States had to work in tandem with the Centre for growth.
