Along with Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy, Harish Rao participated in programmes at Aleru in Nalgonda district wherein a woman leader Sumalatha took over as Agriculture Market Committee chairperson.

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao bristled at the Congress and Telugu Desam parties for trying to create problems and confusion among people on the projects. “The people should be cautious that the Opposition was trying to get mileage by causing hurdles to the projects,” he said.

The Minister criticised TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy for his comments on Mallannasagar project. “We will give better compensation the farmers to be displaced by the project. The project was designed to irrigating crops in four districts. Uttam Kumar Reddy had no right to talk on the projects,” he said.

About 13,000 acres in 13 villages were submerged by the Pulichintala reservoir and the previous government gave Rs 1 lakh compensation to the affected people. The Opposition could not digest the development and coming in the way of the works of the projects, he added.

Jagadish Reddy said the projects would help boost the agriculture activity as the government was giving nine-hour power supply. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was committed for the speedy completion of the projects, he added
