Mahbubnagar: Expressing a strong protest against BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy’s writ petition to halt the Palamuru Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation Project (PRRLI), TRS in Narayanpeta on Sunday took out bike rally and burnt the effigy of Janardhan Reddy at crossroads.

Janardhan Reddy, founder-president Telangana Bachawo Forum, had recently filed a writ petition in the High Court alleging irregularities in the PRRLI project.

Protesting against Janardhan Reddy’s petition, the TRS party leaders and members from Narayanpeta Telangana Bachawo Forum leader was harming the interests of people of Mahbubnagar district by creating hurdles in the way of PRRLI project.

“Janardhan Reddy’s attitude clearly shows that he is acting as an agent of Andhra leaders and stabbing his own people in the back. We have been deprived of our share of water for the past six decades during the TDP and Congress rule.

After formation of Telangana State also these people are creating unnecessary hurdles in the way of development of our district,” said Bandi Venugopal, TRS Narayanpeta Town president.
