​Nalgonda: Additional Joint Collector Venkat Rao stated that the district administration is making all necessary arrangements for the massive tree plantation drive along national highway 65 in the district on July 3 and 4.

Addressing the industrial and Mandal level officials at MPDO office here on Thursday, he said following the direction of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and also as part of government flagship programme Haritha Haram, the district administration decided to plant 1.35 lakh saplings along the national highway from Dandu Malkapuram of Choutuppal Mandal to Telangana border village Nallabanda Gudem of Kodad Mandal, covering about 150 km.

He directed all the officials to make the two-day tree plantation drive a huge success, which will be inaugurated by KCR at Pedda Kaparthi of Chityal Mandal.

He also requested the public to take part in the Haritha Haram programme voluntarily in order to make the State pollution-free.
MPP Prabhakar Reddy, Bhongir RDO Venkata Subbarao, Industries department officer Babu Rao, MPDOs Rajitha, Narender, Tahsildar Shaik Ahmed and others participated in the meeting.
