Kodada (Nalgonda): Former Wakf Board director MA Zabbar distributed saris among the poor Muslim and Hindu women here on Wednesday on account of Ramzan.
He has been distributing saris for the past 15 years, at an expenditure of about Rs 6 lakh per annum for distribution of saris to about 2,500 women.
Zabbar also donates money to poor Muslim families during the month of Ramzan.
Speaking on the occasion, Zabbar said that their tradition dictates that each Muslim should share some of his wealth with the poor. ‘I believe that Hindus and Muslims are like brothers.
Hence has been distributing saris among Hindu as well as Muslim women to ensure that they also feel good during the festival month.
