About 200 job aspirants from various parts of the State were duped to a tune of Rs 2 crore by a job consultancy. The consultancy located at Tarnaka shutdown on Friday leaving the aspirants mystified.

According to OU Police, SK Global Consultancy was run by Pavan Kumar and Rajeshwari at Tarnaka for quite some time.
They advertised in media inviting candidates who are interested to work abroad through the placements offered by the consultancy. “Praveen Kumar, a native of Meerpet got suspicious about the consultancy and lodged a complaint. When checked with the agency, it was found that they have cheated the innocent job aspirants.
Rajeshwari was taken into custody for questioning and a team is searching for absconding Pavan Kumar,” said OU Inspector A Ashok Reddy. Each candidate has paid amounts varying from minimum of Rs 75,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh to the consultancy.
The consultants have been nagging the issue when the aspirants asked for the offer letters. Only few victims have approached so far. We are waiting for the victims to approach us, Inspector Ashok added.
