Officials told to take measures to improve facilities in SW hostels
District Collector Rahul Bojja has directed the officials to prepare a list of requirements for the SC, ST, Disabled and Minority Welfare hostels, particularly those where the pre-Matric students stay.
Hyderabad: District Collector Rahul Bojja has directed the officials to prepare a list of requirements for the SC, ST, Disabled and Minority Welfare hostels, particularly those where the pre-Matric students stay.
He was reviewing the functioning of these hostellers at a meeting with Joint Collector Bharathi Holikeri and other officials here on Thursday.
The Collector asked the officials to carry out repair of bathrooms/latrines and drinking water pipelines. He told the meeting that in the wake of delay in receiving government funds, the amount available with the administration could be utilised for purchasing the items required for the hostels.
He suggested that children’s homes and Anganwadi centres under the Women’s Welfare Department should be included in the list of the repair works.
AJC Ashok Kumar, RDO Raghuram Sarma, Social Welfare Deputy Director Hanumanth Naik, BC Welfare Department incharge DD Devidas, besides engineers and other officials attended the meeting.
