​Medaram (Warangal): Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister K Srihari has denied news reports in a section of media on the leakage of Eamcet-II question paper.

Speaking to presspersons at Medaram on Wednesday, where he attended Haritha Haram, he said there was no question paper leakage. Yet the government would conduct a detailed enquiry into the allegations.

Enquiry involving officials of education and health departments along with the CID would be conducted. If anyone was found guilty of malpractices they would be punished severely.

There was no need for the students to worry, he said with reference to the demand of students and parents, who sought suspension of web counselling, scheduled to be held from July 25.

On the day, the Deputy CM along with ministers Jogu Ramanna and A Chandulal and ZP Chairperson G Padma has planted saplings at Medaram village.

He later took part in plantation programme at several places in Parkal and Atmakur mandal along with the local MLA Ch Dharma Reddy.

He said the State government was committed to offer quality education to children of suppressed classes.

Towards that purpose, 319 residential schools with an estimated cost of Rs 7,000 crore were sanctioned this year.

The Deputy CM has inaugurated laboratory block and children's park set up at the cost of Rs 1.20 crore at tribal welfare school-cum-college at Mallakkapally in Atmakur mandal.

District Collector V Karuna, Joint Collector Prashanth Patil and others were present.
