The leaders of Kakatiya University Non-gazetted Officers’ Association and Class IV Employees Association have demanded the University Vice-Chancellor and Registrar to address several service matters that were pending.

Warangal: The leaders of Kakatiya University Non-gazetted Officers’ Association and Class IV Employees Association have demanded the University Vice-Chancellor and Registrar to address several service matters that were pending.

They squatted inside the Registrar’s chamber during the day in support of a charter of 31-demands submitted to the authorities in February.

Several appeals were made to the authorities but they were avoiding taking measures to fulfil the demands, the protesting leaders alleged.

The associations’ leaders were asking the university authorities to urgently issue orders filling up vacant assistant registrar posts with eligible officials serving in the rank of superintendent.

Steps to appoint vacant posts of different cadres should be taken.

Increments pending since 2008 should be given to time-scale employees besides extending the benefits of PRC-2015 to them.

Non-teaching temporary staff working with the university prior to November 25, 1993 should be appointed on regular basis, the leaders demanded.

NGO Association leaders M Narayana and P Ashok Babu, Class IV Employees Association leaders A Narsimha Murthy and Ch Prabhakar have said appointment orders pertaining to different cadre posts were already prepared but both the VC and registrar were neglecting to issue the orders.

The State government has released an order GO MS No: 47 ratifying appointment of nearly 90 posts and such posts should be filled up forthwith as per guidelines.

The university authorities were instead of responding positively to the demands were acting adamantly they alleged.
The leaders warned that their agitation would continue on Thursday also.

Time-scale Employees Association leaders B Venkateshwarlu, Sarangapani, P Komuraiah, the leaders of different other associations Chukka Rao, Ravinder, M Satyanarayana, Md Yonus, B Srujana, B Veeraiah and others were present.
