Osmania varsity to shut its roads for outsiders

The Osmania University is mulling closing down the roads passing through the campus, for outsiders. A decision to this effect would be taken after consulting Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and government for alternative roads, sources said here on Friday.
​Hyderabad: The Osmania University is mulling closing down the roads passing through the campus, for outsiders. A decision to this effect would be taken after consulting Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and government for alternative roads, sources said here on Friday.
The varsity authorities feel that Adikmet road and the road on the back side of the OU can be used by the general public and the RTC buses to reach Vidyanagar or Tarnaka but not the campus roads any more.
Osmania University Vice-Chancellor Prof S Ramachandram said, “When we close the roads, there will be more traffic on the other two roads. Hence, we want to consult the GHMC for alternative roads.”
