Hyderabad: A total of 13,474 policemen would be deployed for Krishna Pushkaralu as part of bandobust arrangements from Friday at various ghats in Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda.

Director General of Police Anurag Sharma said that eight senior police officers would be present at the ghats for micro level supervision. The deployed staff include additional SPs, DSPs, inspectors, SIs and constables. Out of them, 6,754 policemen for Mahbubnagar and 6,720 for Nalgonda have been posted for duties.

Apart from policemen, 8,878 volunteers from NCC and social organisations have also been assigned to assist policemen on duty. He said 57 pushkar ghats in Mahbubnagar and 28 in Nalgonda districts had been erected and 20 among them are major and 33 minor ghats.

Two integrated control rooms had also been set up, one each to Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda districts in addition to one control room each set up at every major and minor ghats, said the DGP. A total of 55 traffic points in Nalgonda and 33 traffic points in Mahbubnagar were also identified as holding areas, he said.

“Mobile applications have been introduced for the SPs of both the districts for easy monitoring and tracking of the happenings. In addition, 27 SHE Teams and 80 teams of anti-sabotage checks are also deployed at the ghats. Around 555 sophisticated CC cameras have been installed in two districts at major and minor points to record every scene,” the DGP said in a press release.
