Mahabubabad/ Warangal: The students and staff of ZPSS Kambalapally celebrated Hindi Diwas, highlighting the importance of India’s widely spoken language. Hindi Diwas commemorates the day, when the Constituent Assembly of India accepted Hindi as official language of the country along with English. Listing of Hindi as official language took place on September 14, 1949, a senior Hindi teacher of the school, B Sathish Kumar told the students.

On the recommendation of the Committee on National Language, September 14 was being celebrated as Hindi Diwas to propagate the language across the country and as the symbol of Indian unity, he added.

The School Headmaster, M Srinivasulu, senior teachers E Sridhar and V Gurunadha Rao explained the significance Hindi language.

Competitions of technical vocabulary knowledge and essay writing in Hindi were conducted for students. The school teachers K Girija, B Raju, G Venkateshwarlu, Ch Upender, G Srivani, K Sanjeeva, S Saidulraddy, D Ganesh, T Vanaja, G Kishan and G Narayana were present.
