TRS is pro-tiller: Pocharam
Stating that the TRS government was committed to the welfare of farmers in the State, Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said that the government was giving huge funds to the agriculture sector.

Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, the Minister slammed the BJP leaders accusing them of shedding crocodile tears over farmers’ issues. He said after coming to power, the TRS government waived off farm loans and was supplying eight-hour power supply to the farmers.
Farmers were reaping benefits of Mission Kakatiya which has helped in increasing the holding capacity of water, the Minister said, adding that State government ensured good Minimum Support Price for paddy, maize and other crops in the State. Pocharam accused the opposition leaders of being ignorant on the various measures taken by the TRS government for the welfare of farmers.
TRS leader Nomula Narsaiah said the CPM party was creating hurdles in the development of Telangana State and held CPM State Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram an evil force (Dusta Shakti) who was trying to create obstacles in the development through his padyatra.
"At a time when the State is reaping the benefits of various pro-poor and pro-farmers policies of the State government, the CPM leaders are spreading false propaganda to defame the government," he added.
