Hyderabad: The government has decided to sanction 2,000 more teacher posts to the residential schools in the State. This is in addition to the 4,000 posts which were sanctioned recently.
These posts would be filled through the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) and a notification for recruitment would be released soon.
The government has decided to establish about 300 residential schools for the BCs, SCs, STs and minorities in the State. It wants to see that they start functioning from next academic year.
Earlier, the government had given a nod to create 4,000 teacher posts for the proposed residential schools and instructed the TSPSC to issue the notification for the recruitment.
However, it was held back as government wanted to increase the number of posts. The government last year announced that it would set up residential schools for the SCs, STs and minorities but now it had decided to extend it for the BCs also.
Separate residential schools would be established for boys and girls and the teachers in the girls school would have only lady teachers as per the latest decision of the government.
Since the government wants to ensure functioning of these schools from the next academic year, the recruitment process is expected to begin from November or December.
