The demonetization drive is still reeling its effect for the public. The Telangana government has clarified it to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) officials over the state being ignored in the distribution of new currency notes and lower denomination notes post demonetization.

Pointing out the issues being faced by the people near the premises of the banks and the ATM centres in the state, the government accused RBI for not making prior arrangements and also that the Rs 2000 notes are causing a lot of trouble for public particularly when crores of Rs 2000 notes are making rounds in the market by illegal means.

Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and Finance Minister Etela Rajendar met with the RBI officials on Tuesday discussing the concerns in the state due to the cash crunch situation and sought some measures to decrease the plight of the public.
