The temple town of Bhadrachalam along with the Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple was fully decked up for the forthcoming Mukkoti also known as Vaikunta Ekadasi with the whole town was illuminated with colourful decorative serial lamps on Saturday.

Colourful Teppotsavam also known as boat festival would be taken out in River Godavari with the procession deity decorated atop the boat on Sunday.
The devotees would have darshan of the presiding deity Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy in the early hours of Monday from the North Gate also called Uttara Dwaram which is the specialty of the Mukkoti Ekadasi.
It may be recalled that Adhyanotsavalu was launched on December 30 and for the last ten days Pagalpattu was celebrated during which Lord Rama was appeared in the ten Avatars of Mahavishnu.
Godavari River bund was tastefully decorated for the Teppotsavam to be held on Sunday. Lord Srirama would appear as Mahavishnu on Monday morning through Uttara Dwaram.
The officials of Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple Devasthanam, Revenue, Irrigation, village panchayat and other departments arranged the facilities for the devotees while the police intensified bandobust.
The temple EO T Ramesh Babu told The Hans India the Devasthanam had readied two lakh laddus for the devotees in connection with Mukkoti.
The district administration had made special arrangements since K Sobha, wife of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and other family members would attend the Uttara Dwara Darshan and
Teppotsavam.
Both District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumantu and SP Amber Kishore Jha are personally supervising the arrangements at the temple.
Nine DSPs, 25 CIs, 76 SIs, 155 ASIs and head constables, 430 constables, 95 woman constables, 300 home guards, 200 special party police personnel, six sections of CRPF and five bomb disposal teams are deployed in the temple town.
Bhadrachalam DSP B Ashok Kumar said that there would be thorough checking at every point in the town including hotels, lodges, bus station and the surroundings of temple.
