Hyderabad: TTDP working President A Revanth Reddy on Thursday took potshot at the government saying Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his family members consumed most of the time of the State legislature during the recently concluded Winter Session.

Speaking at a press conference, Revanth Reddy said that the CM, ministers KTR and Harish Rao spoke for 33 hours and 30 minutes while other ministers were not given enough time to speak on various issues concerning people.

Revanth Reddy said that the State government has shown that it was not ready to waive farmer loans at one go. He said that despite NCRB report indicating highest number of farmer suicides in the State, the government was least bothered about the plight of the farmers. He said that the CM had advised farmers to grow Soya and Tur but he did not speak on the MSP on the same crops.

The TTDP MLA said that the Chief Minister will pay a heavy price if the TRS government shuts the Nizam Sugar Factory (NSF), he said. Revanth Reddy said that the Speaker had informed the Court that TDP had 15 MLAs in the House, but only three MLAs were identified as MLAs. The TRS government is indulging in political corruption by encouraging defections, he said.
