Bandaru Dattatreya elated over BJP win in Delhi civic polls

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya hailed the landslide victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the elections to three Delhi Municipal Corporations and said the results were the reflections of the success of the Narendra Modi government across the country.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday immediately after the election results were out, Dattatreya said the hollow promises of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) like free power and so on which were impractical had been rejected by the public of Delhi and this had been proven through the municipal bodies’ election results. The Delhi civic body election results supported the policies and programmes of the Narendra Modi government, his approach of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, Ek Bharath Shresht Bharath’ and the programmes for ‘gaon, nagar, gareeb, kisan, mazdoor, mahila, youth’ welfare and development.

The skill development, employment creation, direct benefit transfer, GST, programmes for farmers, doubling of their incomes and housing for all were well received by the public and the people had reposed their confidence in the functioning and delivery of goods by the Prime Minister, he said.

Dattatreya said the AAP should at least now realise that the delivery of goods was important and performance was primary. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejrival should immediately stop criticism and personal vendetta against Narendra Modi keeping in view his failures in governance. The Narendra Modi government was on the path of reform, perform, transform and the people had supported this approach, he added.
