The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has decided to issue charge memos to employees who come late to office.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has decided to issue charge memos to employees who come late to office.
HMDA Commissioner T Chiranjeevulu recently noticed that most of the officials were reporting to the work after 11 am. Annoyed over this trend, he decided to issue notices and cut casual leaves if officials repeat the same.
Sources in HMDA said some officials were even bunking office in the name of site inspection. In order to streamline this, the HMDA Commissioner asked the officials to take prior permission from departmental heads concerned.
He also asked the departmental heads to submit daily attendance by 11 o'clock on a daily basis. He instructed the officials to report to office by 10.30 am. The HMDA also issued memos to officials who reported after 10:46 am and decided to cut their casual leaves.
When asked about the issue, Chiranjeevulu said, “I have noticed that some officials are not reporting to office on time. So we have decided to streamline the working hours and all officers have to report by 10.30 am.
The officials, however, have to go on field visit, but they have to take prior permission from the officers concerned.” He said the HMDA had already started deducting causal leaves.
“If there is no causal leave, we will deduct their salaries if they come after 10:45 am. On Thursday, we deducted causal leave of eight officials as they did not report on time,” he added.
