Hyderabad: Congress senior leader T Jeevan Reddy demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao make the MLAs defected to his party to resign and contest elections instead of conducting surveys again and again.Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Jeevan Reddy asked the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) supremo why he was conducting surveys again and again.

Conducting surveys repeatedly shows that Chandrashekar Rao had little confidence on his own MLAs, he said, and alleged that the State government was trying to hoodwink the people in the name of surveys. He also slammed the Chief Minister saying that the latter transformed the State a debt-ridden one. He predicted Chandrashekar Rao’s defeat in Gajwel in the next election.

Speaking on the occasion, Leader of the Opposition in the Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir dared Chandrashekar Rao to go for early elections if he had belief in surveys. “At least, Chandrashekar Rao should make his son K T Rama Rao resign from his Sircilla seat and seek fresh election.

The Congress was ready to contest in Sircilla and the result will reveal the strength of the TRS in the State”, he said and wondered how Rama Rao scaled up to 91 percent from 46 percent within two months in his survey.

Dubbing Chandrashekar Rao’s survey as ‘kiladi survey’, MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy alleged that Chandrashekar Rao was releasing surveys one by one only to sidetrack the public issues. He said both the TRS and the BJP were creating election atmosphere in the State with challenges and counter challenges.

Meanwhile, Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy asked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to make his party MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy resign and contest against him if the TRS chief was confident of his survey. Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Komatireddy exuded confidence that he would win the election with huge majority in a by-election against Gutha. He also made it clear that he would quit politics if he had lost election against Gutha.

Dubbing Chandrashekar Rao’s survey as bogus, Komatireddy alleged that the Chief Minister was confining himself to his farmhouse. Stating that the Chief Minister would face defeat in Gajwel this time, Komati alleged that Chandrashekar Rao was misleading the people with his ‘fake’ surveys.

“Chandrashekar Rao will not get votes but only stones in the next elections,” he said. He predicted that the TRS would get only three seats in the next elections.
